John Gunning, Jr., O.D.

Dr. Gunning graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1970. Immediately following graduation he joined his father, Dr. Gunning, Sr. and Dr. Ward in private practice. He is a member of the Ohio Optometric and the American Optometric Associations.

Dr. Gunning was co-author of the first software program for the management of the optometric practice. He later became consultant to Bausch & Lomb’s Practice Management Division. Dr. Gunning has been a clinical investigator for many of the contact lens companies and continues in the capacity as a consultant. Dr. Gunning has received Board Certification for Diagnosis and Treatment of Ocular Diseases.



Keith Ames, O.D.

Dr. Ames graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1977. He served five years as a U.S. Army optometrist. He was on the clinical faculty of the University of Waterloo (Canada) School of Optometry. He also worked for Bausch & Lomb Corporation as Manager of the Research Clinic and Director of Technical Affairs for their Gas Permeable division, Polymer Technology.

In 1991 he joined Family Vision Centers where he specializes in disease treatment and contact lenses, with a special interest in gas permeable contact lenses for the bifocal patient. Dr. Ames has received Board Certification for Diagnosis and Treatment of Ocular Diseases. He is a frequent author and lecturer and consults for a variety of contact lens companies and trade associations.
